Sweden elusive environmental quality targets
Guest : Göran Finnveden March 25 2012
Sweden is widely considered one of the most sustainable countries in the world, yet progress towards reaching some its environmental quality targets is off pace with earlier ambitions.
This Sunday, Think Globally Radio speaks with Prof. Göran Finnveden of the Environmental Strategies Research department at KTH, who has been critical of the current lack of progress in meeting these targets. Prof. Finnveden will discuss national environmental targets in Sweden, as well as the environmental implications of major infrastructure projects in Stockholm, and sustainability initiatives being carried out at KTH. Producing scenarios for sustainable futures through backcasting, and life cycle assessment methodology for environmental decision making, are two areas of expertise that Prof. Finnveden will further discuss on Think Globally Radio.
