Sustaining freshwater resources for people and planet
with Sandra Postel
The severe droughts of the past decade in the western United States and the ongoing water scarcity problems across the planet bring to the fore the importance of freshwater resources in the 21st century. This week’s guest on Think Globally Radio, Sandra Postel, is a world leading expert on international freshwater issues. Sandra is a National Geographic freshwater fellow and founder of the Global Water Policy Project, and is the co-creator of the water conservation initiative ‘Change the Course’, which takes on one of the most complex water resource situations in the world, i.e. the Colorado River basin and the provision of water for seven states in the arid western U.S.
