American perspectives on the Arctic environment and climate negotiations as Paris approaches
with Amb. Mark Brzezinski and Amb. Christiana Figueres
In April 2015 the United States takes over the chairmanship of the Arctic Council, and towards the end of the year the critical COP 21 meeting of the UNFCCC will take place in Paris. With these two important events in mind, Think Globally Radio this week discusses climate change and the Arctic with Ambassador Mark Brzezinski, the U.S. ambassador to Sweden, who has made the Arctic environment a defining priority of his ambassadorship. Think Globally Radio was also in attendance at the Arctic Circle assembly in Iceland last week, where we had the opportunity to speak with Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, who provides an encouraging outlook on the state of climate negotiations one year before the Paris conference.
