Stefan Rahmstorf of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research is one of the world’s most influential climatologists. An expert on the role of oceans in the climate system, Prof. Rahmstorf – who was a lead author of the 4th IPCC assessment report, science advisor to the German government and a leading figure in the pubic debate on climate change – was recently in Stockholm for the Nobel Laureate Symposium on Global Sustainability.
